What is Provided, What to Bring, & Not

Our DLC apartments are furnished with:

Items to bring and consider are:

Bedding (for an XL twin mattress)
Towels (bath, kitchen & BEACH!)
Kitchen Items (Note: some students wait to arrive & see what their apartment roommates have before making these purchases once they - to avoid doubling up)
- pots, pans, dishes, flatware, towels, sponge, dish soap
- small appliances (coffee maker, blender, etc.)
Computer (needed for all course work - students may use the DLC office printer for schoolwork)
Laundry Supplies: dirty clothes hamper, laundry detergent
Food (students are responsible for their own groceries & meals)

In an effort to keep our students comfortable, safe and in an environment of discipleship, the following are NOT allowed:

Large Furniture: While you may want to add small pieces of furniture to make your apartment more comfortable (small desk, small ottoman), space is limited, and larger furniture is prohibited (Note: DLC provided furniture may NOT be moved out of the apartment).
Large Appliances & Grills: The Tradition Apartments does not allow open flame appliances (outside of the gas stove provided) or grills of any kind.
Alcohol, Drugs, Tobacco: DLC is a CHEMICAL-FREE environment and that includes even some legal substances. Alcohol (even if a student is “of age”), drugs and tobacco of any kind (including cigarettes, cigars, snuff, smokeless tobacco, chew, hemp/marijuana, hookah, vaporizers) are all prohibited at all times while you are enrolled in DLC. Prescription medications are allowed. Marijuana in all forms, including medicinal, is prohibited. All of the above is in effect while enrolled with DLC, including breaks.
Weapons or Fireworks: Firearms/guns, BB guns, pellet rifles, paint-ball guns, air-soft guns, throwing knives, knives with blades longer than three inches, and martial arts weapons are not allowed. The manufacturing, possession, or use of explosive devices or fireworks is prohibited.
