Schedule

Thursday, August 28th

  • 5:30pm - Arrival + Check-in (to your assigned Student House - see below)

  • 6:30pm - Dinner at “Meeting House” (see address below)

  • 7:30pm - Session 1 - with Pastor Jason & Corri

  • Later Night - Enjoy dessert, hanging out, and more

Friday, August 29th

  • 7:30am - Continental breakfast at assigned Student Houses (self-served)

  • 8:30am - Session 2 - with Pastor Chandler

  • 9:30am-12:00pm - Enjoying the lake & cliff jumping

  • 12:00-5:00pm - Lunch at “Meeting House”, hanging out lakeside, enjoying town + relaxing

  • 5:00pm - Dinner at “Meeting House”

  • 6:30pm - Session 3 - with Pastor Chandler

Saturday, August 30th

  • 8:00am - Continental breakfast at assigned Student Houses (self-served)

  • 9:00am - Clean-up

  • 10:00am - Check-out

Things To-Note

  • Weather: Highs are around 76 degrees, Lows are around 58 degrees

  • What to Pack:

    • Personal pillow.

    • Beach towel for the lake (regular bath towels are provided, along with bed linens).

    • Bathing suit (for jacuzzis and lake).

    • Sunscreen, if you plan to be out in the sun.

    • Summer clothes for day and warmer for evenings (see weather above and schedule below)

    • Journal to take notes and do your devotions with.

  • Drive Up:

    • Carpool. We have limited driveway space (see below). Please ride up in larger groups.

    • Give yourself 2-4 hours to arrive by 5:30pm to check-in for the 1st night (use the destination for your Student House address above in your map app). Dinner will be served at the Meeting House at 6:30pm (you must check in to your Student House prior to going to dinner).

  • Being Good Neighbors:

    • We will have to be very considerate of neighbors. Big Bear Lake is very specific in its enforcement of the following:

      • Noisy activity and spa use is prohibited, starting at 10pm.

      • No parking allowed on residential streets (only in designated driveways).

      • Amplified music that can be heard beyond property lines is not permitted. Windows are to be closed to avoid doing so.

      • The minimum fine for violating stated rules is $500 (by Big Bear enforcement). A second offense is $1,000 and third is $1,500. Though not anticipated, in the event of a fine, students in the given house will share the cost.
